Rotary says thank you

Last Wednesday the Rotary Club of Bolsover said Thank You to all those Community and Charity groups, who have received grants from the club during the year, for the hard work and dedication they show in supporting their local communities.

Club President Rita Reed made a point in reminding members and guests of the importance of service to others and of the need for voluntary organisations in a world relying more and more on the charity of others.

Many of those present came from local groups including Barlborough School House Trust, Bolsover Scouts, Chesterfield Ladies Football Club, Junction Arts, Staveley Brownies, Chesterfield Birth Centre, Friends of Bolsover Parks, Freedom Project, in all over 30 organisations were represented giving an indication of the diversity of the Rotary Clubs assistance.

The Club also supports Gambia Schools, Aquabox, Macmillan Cancer Care, Polio Eradication along with other national and international projects.

A wonderful evening celebrating our local communities.
